Michael Laverty 1'25.601

Swan Yamaha's Tommy Hill has taken pole position for this weekend's British Superbike triple header, breaking Gregorio Lavilla's lap record in the process of setting the quickest time of the weekend so far with a 1'25.357.

Samsung Suzuki's John Hopkins was only 0.047s slower than the Lingfield man with Michael Laverty in fourth. World Superbike regular Joan Lascorz rounds out the front row, half a second off the pace.

HM Plant Honda's Shane Byrne heads the second row after a last flyer failed to net him a front-row spot and he is joined by Martin Jessopp, Michael Rutter and James Westmoreland. Gary Mason and Evo rider Graeme Gowland complete the top ten.

Qualifying two

Tommy Hill 1'25.620

Michael Rutter 1'25.721

Michael Laverty 1'25.734

Rutter put in a storming final sector on his last lap to park his 1198 in second place as it looked like he would be relegated to the third row. His lap put the PBM Kawasaki of Broc Parkes into the drop zone alongside Ryucihi Kiyonari who did the second half of his last lap with his hand up and went out.

Sorrymate.com Honda's James Ellison was also a casualty of Rutter's flyer and Josh Brookes once again finds himself outside the top ten after failing to find a quick lap. Gowland was the last man to find the pace to remain in the chase and put in an almost unbelievable lap on his Evo-spec Fireblade.

John Hopkins 1'26.074

Broc Parkes 1'26.226

Laverty became the second man so far this weekend to break the 1'26s barrier after Hopkins did it this morning. Parkes found massive pace from free practice this morning to go third fastest after being mid-pack in the opening sessions.

Rutter also found some speed to go fastest early in the session but was beaten back to fourth place while Hill was keeping his powder dry. Richards just scraped into the top 20 but local man Scott Smart, on the Moto Rapido Ducati, had an exploding exhaust which kept him in the drop zone.
