Quattro Kawasaki’s Howie Mainwaring is steadily making his way up the MCE British Superbike timesheets as the collarbone he badly broke in pre-season testing is finally allowing him to ride as he wants.
At the last two rounds, Mainwaring also struggled with a lack of feeling in his hand but over the course of free practice at Brands, he has been able to make progress and start to get comfortable riding again.
“My shoulder is getting better, I’ve got some more movement and I’m getting comfortable riding the bike again. Hopefully, we can make some more progress in qualifying this afternoon and then start to make some changes to the bike and start pushing towards the sharp end,” said Mainwaring, speaking to bikesportnews.com at the track.
