Anvil Hire TAG Yamaha's Howie Mainwaring has broken his wrist after a high-speed crash during the opening MCE British Superbike race at Brands Hatch.
He fell alongside Quattro Plant Kawasaki's Filip Backlund at Hawthorn Bend with the Swede sustaining minor injuries and was released from the medical centre.
Mainwaring has been taken to Kings Hospital for further assessment, and is awaiting a full body scan.
During the incident out on circuit a trackside official sustained a head injury and was flown to St George's Hospital for further treatment.
