Steve Moore’s Moto Rapido Ducati team will return to action at the Brands Hatch MCE British Superbike finale with Jakub Smrz riding and a new title sponsor in the shape of Lloyds British.
This year, Moore had been working with Smrz as data technician in the Millsport team but after securing backing from Ducati and signing Lloyds British as their lead sponsor for 2015, he has decided to have a run out with the Czech Republic rider this weekend ahead of a full season.
“It’s good to be able to give Jakub any my team a final race this year. Following his injury at Cadwell the Millsport team decided to finish their season early, that’s when we started to plan a return as our own team again for 2015. We are competing in the final round as a preview to 2015 and to display our 2015 sponsors Lloyds British for the first time,” said Moore, speaking to bikesportnews.com.
“Next year, we will be back with a two-man team on updated 1199 Panigales. Ducati Corse have also committed to an increased package of support, which will help immeasurably, so we’re in good shape for next year already.
“We’re talking to Jakub about 2015 and we also have some other riders on our shortlist too. Hopefully it won’t be too long before we can announce the full line-up, then we can organise a winter test programme.”
