Metmachex’s Kyle Ryde took the Monster Energy Motostar pole position on his Honda Moto3, ahead of fellow Red Bull Rookie Bradley Ray.
Ryde improved by two seconds from this morning’s first qualifying session to get the better of Ray by just 0.153 seconds. Championship leader Luke Hedger couldn’t hold on to his provisional pole position and is 0.062 seconds behind Ray in third.
South African Jordan Weaving rounds out the front row. RS Racing’s Catherine Green went ahead of Joe Irving with the chequered flag out to take fifth by a quarter of a second.
Tarran Mackenzie was unable to hold on to his provisional front row start after a technical issue this morning forced him to run in a new cylinder this afternoon. Therefore, he didn’t improve on his earlier laptime leaving him seventh. Fellow Scotsman Callum Bey is on the back of the second row.
Tom Carne, on the Repli-Cast UK Honda, heads the third row ahead of the man joint second in the Championship Joe Francis, Harry Hartley and Phillip Wakefield.
