It was Appleyard/Macadam's Ryan Watson who led into the first corner of the nine lap race ahead of the three riders battling for the championship, it was half around the first lap that Ryde took the lead from Watson, Guiver was running third ahead of Ryan and Hedger. By the end of the first lap it was the three title contenders Kyde, Guiver and Ryan who led as immediately Guiver starting to put pressure on Ryde.
On lap two Guvier and Ryde started their constant battle in exchanging the lead as Ryan stayed close behind. As Watson started to fall down the order slightly fourth was taken by Banks Racing's Luke Hedger and Bradley Ray of FAB Racing in fifth. On lap three Ryan upped his gain to not only snatch second but also the lead from Ryde. Hedger and Ray started to begin a battle of their own not only for fourth place, but also for third in the cup series.
After what was a calm race and the most sedate of the day, it was Ryan who took the race win and second in the championship, Guiver took second confirming his third place overall, but third place rider Ryde took the last podium position and the 2011 championship title by two points. Hedger regained fourth after Ray temporarily got ahead to round off the top five.
Watson grabbed sixth ahead of PWR/Sandbach's Philip Wakefield who came from 12th on the grid, Joe Irving of E3 Motorsport who started down in 15th, Jordan Weaving of SP125 Honda who also started way down the grid in 13th to finish ahead of KRP's Callum Bey who rounded off the top ten.
Ryan also took the cup win, Ryde second and Hedger grabbed third from fourth overall.
