Brands BSB: Westmoreland declared fit for qualifying

Buildbase BMW’s James Westmoreland has been declared fit to race after suffering a nasty crash which resulted in him falling on his head at the Cooper Straight in the final MCE British Superbike free practice session at the Brands Hatch Indy circuit this morning.

The rider succumbed to the wet conditions, and was not the only rider to fall foul to the British weather, other notable racers including Rapid Solicitors Kawasaki’s Shane Byrne and Tsingtao WK’s Jon Kirkham.

Westmoreland is ready to battle for pole in what is predicting to be a very wet qualifying, and his bike will be ready in time for the session which starts just after 4pm, as his BMW only suffered cosmetic damage.
