Bridewell back in action at Oulton BSB

Devizes swearbox Tommy Bridewell will make his return to MCE British Superbike action at Oulton Park this weekend, debuting for the Halsall Racing team on a Kawasaki ZX-10R.

Bridewell split with the Bathams Honda outfit, who will run only Michael Rutter at the Cheshire circuit, but picked up the new ride only a couple of days later and says the break from racing has been too long.

"I'm definitely looking forward to getting back out there; it's been too long of a break for me so I'm raring to go now. Obviously I've not had the chance to test because the team has been working so hard getting the bike ready and it just hasn't been possible," said Bridewell.

"It means that on Friday it will be all about just making sure it all works well and then I think we'll just take it from there. I like Oulton Park but it is a tricky circuit, so I almost need to be able to run before I can walk but I'm confident we can make steady progress. I'm looking forward to helping Lee also and hope he can benefit from my BSB experience."
