In the opening race of the weekend, Bradley Ray was able to return to winning ways for the first time since Race One at Brands Hatch, as he beat his title rival in a head-to-head battle.

For the first time in the 2025 season, Andrew Irwin returned to the podium as he finished in third place for the Honda Racing UK squad.

Christian Iddon was in the podium battle, but lost out to Irwin in the latter laps and crossed the line in fourth place.

Storm Stacey had a difficult time at Brands Hatch and Thruxton, but has turned his fortunes around at Cadwell Park with a fifth-place finish in Race One, his first top ten finish since Knockhill.

Max Cook narrowly missed out on a top-five finish as he crossed the line in sixth and was 0.401 seconds behind Stacey.

The top Ducati at the end of the opening race was the Hager PBM Ducati of Scott Redding, the 2019 British Superbike Champion ended his day in seventh place.

Behind Redding were two more Ducati riders with the Moto Rapido Racing Ducati of Leon Haslam in eighth, and the Cheshire Mouldings Ducati of Rory Skinner in ninth.

Completing the top ten was the Nitrous Competitions Racing rider Glenn Irwin, who claimed his first top ten finish on a Yamaha R1.
