Bradley Ray turned in the fastest lap in final free practice for Round 4 of the 2025 British Superbike Championship [BSB] as the riders got in some much needed dry track time at Knockhill.

After FP1 and FP2 - which count towards who will take part in the pole-deciding Q2 session later today - was hampered by damp conditions, the short FP3 session before qualifying was held in dry weather.

The improved conditions would see championship leader Ray assert himself over the competition with a best time of 47.327secs, putting the Raceways Yamaha rider just over a tenth clear of Kyle Ryde in second on the sister OMG Nitrous machine.

Second fastest for Ryde will provide a much needed boost for the defending champion as one of the riders failing to break into the top twelve by the end of FP2. It means he will need to go in Q1 in the hope of securing one of the three remaining entries to progress to Q2 and fight for pole position.

Josh Brookes maintained his form from wet-to-dry aboard the DAO Racing Honda, ahead of local hero Rory Skinner, who was the top Ducati representative in fourth.

Friday pace setter Storm Stacey continued to lead the BMW challenge in fifth place, ahead of Charlie Nesbitt - another rider who will be going again in Q1 - Danny Kent and Tommy Bridewell

BSB returnee Scott Redding continued his re-acclimatising to the national series with a sold 12th fastest on the Hager PBM Ducati.
