Josh Brookes returned to the top step of the podium after claiming a dramatic win in the opening race at Oulton Park.
For the first time since the second round of the 2023 British Superbike Championship, Josh Brookes returned to winning ways and took DAO Racing to the top step of the podium after the weather impacted the opening race of the weekend at Oulton Park.
Leon Haslam led the way for the majority of the race, but on the last lap was mugged by Brookes. The Moto Rapido Ducati Racing rider could not get back through on Brookes and lost out on his second win of the season.
The British Superbike Championship leader, Kyle Ryde, was the top rider on wet tyres as he crossed the line in third place for the Nitrous Competitions Racing squad.
After starting from the front row of the grid, Fraser Rogers narrowly missed out on the podium but was able to take the TAG Honda squad to a fourth-place finish.
Rounding out the top five was the Bathams AJN Racing BMW rider, Storm Stacey. The BMW rider started from the front row, but chose wet tyres, which could not match the intermediate runners.
Just outside of the top five was the 2023 British Superbike Champion, Tommy Bridewell. The Honda Racing UK rider took his CBR1000RR-R to a sixth-place finish.
Max Cook was back inside the top ten after missing out on the top ten at Assen. The AJN Steelstock Kawasaki rider started the weekend in seventh place in Race One.
After a difficult 2025 British Superbike season, Billy McConnell featured inside the top ten for the first time this season. The Australian rider took his Honda CBR1000RR-R to an eighth-place finish in the mixed conditions.
Championship challenger, Bradley Ray, made the wrong tyre decision for the opening race of the weekend as he opted for soft wet tyres and dropped back to ninth place.
Completing the top ten was the pole sitter, Charlie Nesbitt. The MasterMac Honda rider could not match the other wet tyre runners and slipped back throughout the 14-lap race.
