Only five riders set valid lap times in the British Superbike Warm-Up session as the rain returned to Oulton Park.
In the Sunday British Superbike Warm-Up session, the rain began falling in all sectors around Oulton Park, and despite the session being extended, only five riders set valid lap times.
It was the Nitrous Competitions Racing Yamaha rider, Glenn Irwin, who set the fastest lap ahead of the second race of the weekend. The Northern Irishman pulled out of the opening race of the weekend in the early laps.
In second place was the South African rider, Blaze Baker, the NP Racing Honda rider was in second place in the Warm-Up session. However, in Race One on Saturday, he finished in 18th place and was passed by Christian Iddon, who swapped onto slick tyres.
Peter Hickman completed the top three in Warm-Up on his LEW 8TEN Racing BMW Motorrad machine. He missed out on the points on Saturday as he ended the race in 19th place and was also lapped.
Whitecliffe CDH Racing Honda rider Jamie Davis was in fourth place in Warm-Up. He failed to finish Race One despite starting on the intermediate tyres.
The final rider who set a valid lap time in the Warm-Up session was the LEW 8TEN Racing BMW Motorrad rider, Davey Todd. On Saturday, he scored two points with a 14th-place finish and will be hoping for more points in the two races on Sunday.
