World Superbike regular Mark Aitchison looks to be in a straight-out scrap with Superstock winner Danny Buchan for the MSS Bathams Kawasaki British Superbike seat, recently vacated by Peter Hickman.

The Aussie, who is having a fairly torrid time with the Grellini team in WSBK, is in the frame, according to rumour flying round the North West 200 paddock, but he could be usurped by Buchan, who is the team's existing National Superstock 1000 front-runner.

Aitchison would have to ditch his WSBK ride because the upcoming Snetterton round clashes with the Miller Motorsport Park event in Utah.
