Newcastle-based Joe Burns will return to the Pirelli Superstock 1000 National Championship this year, after sitting out most of 2012 recovering from an operation. Riding a Kawasaki ZX10R he will hit the circuits in 2013 with new headline sponsorship from John Guest Ltd, the world leader in Push Fit plumbing solutions.
Mike Riseley the John Guest Ltd Director of UK Sales is happy to be backing the rider. “We are delighted to support Joe in 2013, we have enjoyed significant success with sponsorship in the BTCC and plan to do the same in motorcycle racing. Joe is clearly a talented rider who will be a great brand ambassador for Speedfit”.
Burns is already excited about the season ahead. “This is a great opportunity to show what I can do on track and to provide John Guest with the exposure and promotion they want, I am looking forward to a great seasons racing”. He said.
The build-up to the season has already started for Burns and his team, with the first test planned to take place in early March.
