Cadwell BSB: ‘Change of direction’ pays off for Bridewell

Milwaukee Yamaha’s Tommy Bridewell has overcome his earlier struggles this weekend to start on the front row, after a  ‘change of direction’ with his machine paid off during the MCE British Superbike qualifying session at Cadwell Park.

A last lap dash meant that the Devizes swearbox knocked GBmoto Kawasaki’s Chris Walker from P3, to take the spoils at the Lincolnshire track. The rider didn’t think he would get on the front row after earlier mediocre free practice sessions, but the lad is feeling more confident, especially after making it onto the podium at the track a mere 12 months ago.

“I thought I was going to struggle all weekend, but a massive thanks to my crew. We had a massive direction change this morning which worked wonders,” said Bridewell, speaking at the track.

“If I am honest throughout all weekend I thought we would struggle to be near the top three times, but it showed the effort we have put in with a front row start.”
