WFR Honda star Graeme Gowland has pulled out of this weekend's MCE British Superbike round, citing problems with concentration.

The team has issued a statement, which reads:

“After an unexpectedly difficult season so far with Team WFR, Graeme Gowland has made the decision not to race in Round 8 of the British Superbike Championship at Cadwell Park this weekend.

“Following a brilliant year with the team in 2011, Graeme himself had hoped for much more, but with a number of issues affecting his concentration he has decided that from a personal and professional point of view, it would be best not to race at the Lincolnshire circuit.

“No further decision about Graeme's future in the team has been taken at this time and he is expected to sit down with team manager Myles Schofield in the coming days to talk about the options.

“The team has said it will do all it can to support Graeme and any decision he makes.”
