Cartagena BSB test: Waters getting comfortable

Tyco Suzuki’s Josh Waters is getting more and more comfortable with the big GSX-R1000 he will campaign in this year’s MCE British Superbike Championship and is running the same pace as team-mate John Hopkins at Cartagena.

The Aussie has spent two days re-acquainting himself with Suzuki power after having a year on the Milwaukee Yamaha, and saus he has made a lot of progress over the last two days. He finished with an unofficial laptime of 1’35.9.

"It was good to finish the second day off with my new team, back with a manufacturer that I have spent a lot of my career with so I am enjoying it. My crew are really good and it is all going good. I have made a lot of progress since yesterday morning and today it was coming easier. I am more comfortable on the Suzuki and when you are having fun you go better and get better results, as you can see from some of the other guys on the track,” said the likeable Aussie.
