After six rounds of the 2024 British Superbike season Christian Iddon is in the Championship hunt heading to Thruxton.

Christian Iddon is firmly in the Championship fight in British Superbikes as the Oxford Products Racing rider is third in the standings. Iddon is only five points behind Glenn Irwin in second place and 24 points behind the Championship leader, Tommy Bridewell.

This weekend is the Oxford Products Racing Ducati Teams home event at Thruxton. A round that will prove crucial for the Championship standings.

“The season so far has been really positive," Iddon said. "Obviously we're currently third in the championship and I'm keeping a strong eye on the positions at the top because that’s all I want really, and all the team want. We've had a strong and positive start, we had a good winter, we had a strong first round and it carried on from there.

“We’ve had a fair few things thrown at us, probably most notably was when I crashed at Donington in the first race and picked up a few niggly injuries and that was a difficult weekend, but we still pulled through and scored some strong results and then bounced back at the following round pretty well. All conditions we have been good and it’s looking good.

“I’m excited, I enjoy Thruxton," Iddon continued. "I’ve always liked it, it’s something completely different and something I don’t think you get anywhere else in the world. As much as it’s tough for us it’s also enjoyable to ride so we are going to make the most of the scenario we’re faced with when we get there, just keep an eye on the head of that championship and try and stay as close as possible because the Showdown is coming up very soon!”
