Legendary MCE British Superbike team manager Colin Wright has confirmed this morning he will make a return to the paddock as the Idaq Kawasaki Pirelli National Superstock 1000 team manager.
Wright, who has seven BSB titles and more than 100 wins under his belt, took the decision to come back to racing after three years out and believes he can shape Idaq into another GSE Racing.
"I've looked at racing from the outside in for a couple of years now and thought I would like to come back into it, but it had to be with the right people and for the right reasons," he said, speaking to bikesportnews.com this morning.
"I am still fully committed to my job with GSE Plant but as I have downsized my house, there isn't much gardening to do so I wanted something to occupy time at weekends. I immediately felt comfortable with Mark and Sarah at Idaq, so here I am.
"My job first of all will be to nurture the riders, who are relatively new to 1000cc bikes, and then build a really fluid team capable of winning in 2014, because I like winning."
Wright will join the squad from this weekend's Cadwell Park round.
