British Superbike star Simon Andrews is now without a ride in the championship after his road racing deal with Honda left him unable to compete in all rounds of BSB so PR Kawasaki have released him from his commitments to the team.
Andrews, who is chasing full fitness in time for the start of the season, was partnering Gary Mason in the Team Green-backed squad but boss Julian Mosquera says that the rules state they have to field a two-rider squad for all round of the championship, which Andrews is unable to do due to World Endurance clashes.
"It's very disappointing in all honesty. I was very much looking forward to having a full season in British Superbikes and being able to do some road and World Endurance rounds with TT Legends but it is clearly not to be," said Andrews, speaking to bikesportnews.com this morning.
"I have to make a living out of racing as it's my chosen profession. I am getting close to full fitness now and really wanted to get out there and test the new ZX-10R as soon as possible. I can concentrate on the first endurance round now and then look to the roads."
