John Crockford and Marshal Neill, who were both injured in the Brands Hatch National Superstock 1000 crash a couple of weeks ago, are said to be on the mend with Irishman Neill now discharged from hospital and back at home in Portadown.
Crockford remains in hospital but, after multiple operations and the fitting of a back brace, is now being allowed to wake and is slowly being weaned off the ventilator.
"It is with great relief that we have learnt that John and Marshall are improving with good prospects for a full recovery. They were separate, significant accidents which were swiftly and expertly dealt with by our trackside medical team before transfer and further treatment at the Brands Hatch medical centre and then flown to top London hospitals. We are enormously grateful for the professionalism, skills and dedication of Dr Heike Romer and the MSVR BSB Medical Team," said BSB boss Stuart Higgs.
