Lloyds British Jentin Yamaha's Simon Andrews had to ride through the pain of his injures again at Croft British Superbikes after a slip in race one tweaked his already knackered knee which necessiated more treatment.
Andrews, from Neverland, managed solid tenth and ninth places in the Darlington double header and it looking to finish the seaoson on a high note with maybe a podium.
"We'd never been to Croft with this bike before and therefore we had no data on the circuit which we could use through the weekend," said Andrews. "We had to pretty much start from scratch with the base settings and work from there.
"It took a while to try and get things sorted and with the weather being bad on Friday it only left us with one session on Saturday morning before going into the qualifying stages. I'm fairly pleased with the results; I got two good starts and was eager to finish as high up as possible.
"After I damaged my knee I just had to concentrate on bringing the bike home. Once again the CJ Physios did a perfect job, which allowed me to race the second race. I'm looking forward to Silverstone and Brands and finishing the season on a high note."
