CROFT BSB: ELLISON ON A CONFIDENCE HIGH

HYdrex Honda's James Ellison is on a high after his Donington World Superbike results and goes into his team's home round with newly-found confidence.

Ellison, who would have been on the podium in race two had it not been for an excursion into the garvel trap at Coppice, is also bringing the 'Kendal Massive" from this home town of Kendal for even more support.

"I like Croft, although the track is a bit bumpy so it's always a compromise with the suspension settings, the bike will be OK in some areas but not in others, but I suppose it's the same for everyone," said the Cumbrian.

"It's my local track, so the 'Kendal masses' will be coming to support me and the results at Donington WSB have really boosted my confidence, so I'm up for it!"

Team-mate Guy Martin is also coming off the back of some good result at Cadwell Park and is aiming to carry that run on at the Darlington track this weekend.

"Everything went well at Cadwell and I was happy with my results so I'm aiming to carry on the good results at Croft. It's one of the very few tracks that we visit that doesn't have one of these tight, artificial chicanes and it flows quite well so there's no reason I can't be up there. Where there's a will there's a way," he said.
