Croft BSB: Hill passed fit to race this weekend

Swan Yamaha's Tommy Hill has been passed fit to ride at this weekend's Croft British Superbike round just two weeks after a massive crash at Oulton saw him tear ligaments across his left shoulder.

The Lingfield man was subject to a circuit medical this morning and will go out in the first practice session. It was thought he would need eight weeks to fully recover but intense laser treatment and time in a hyperbaric chamber have seen a marked improvement over the last few days.

"Although Tommy is still very sore, he passed the medical and will go out for a few laps in first practice to see how he is on the bike. It's useful for him that it is wet at the moment as this will put much less pressure on the shoulder. We will see then how he is over lunch before we make a decision about this afternoon," said team owner Shaun Muir, speaking to bikesportnews.com this morning.
