Moto Rapido Ducati's Scott Smart will look at the main British Superbike Championship points table as a measure of his success from this weekend onwards instead of confining himself to his standing in the Evo series.
The double British 250GP champion, who is running second in the spec-ECU championship, says that he has his overall position in a race on his pitboard not his Evo standing as this is how he wants to measure his performance.
"We are running in Evo and it's a great championship but to progress I want to be able to see myself going through the field of full Superbikes. We made big steps between Brands and Oulton, and I want to make the same leap at Croft this weekend," said Smart, speaking to bikesportnews.com this afternoon.
"I have always gone well at the track, getting podiums in Superstock, and now we have made some changes to the bike which hopefully will enable me to carry more speed into slow corners which we are currently struggling with. The target is to take as many full Superbike scalps as possible."
