CROFT BSB: PUZZLING WEEKEND FOR HARRIS

Team Yamaha's Karl Harris had a puzzling time at this weekend's Croft British Superbike meeting and can't pinpoint exactly where it went wrong.

Harris, who scored a hatful of points with two eighth-paced finished, looked strong for most of each lap but then lost pace in the final third.

"Well that's not the best weekend we've had and I couldn't pinpoint a definite reason for it," said Harris. I seemed to lose pace in the last sector of the lap, I felt really strong on the first two thirds of the lap but just felt not so strong on the last sector.

"I couldn't seem to make progress from where I was, it is such a hot pace out there anyway. I really enjoy both Silverstone and Brands so I hope for a strong finish to the season with four races to go."

Team boss Rob McElnea did have something to celebrate however as he bacame a dad on Thursday night. "Susan gave birth to our son, Harrison Robert on Thursday night so it's been an amazing high for us in that respect and I'm definitely the proud father again," said the Burly Humbersider.
