MSS Colchester Kawasaki's Simon Andrews reckons that injections which significantly reduced the swelling in his injured wrist have also given him some more flexibility for this weekend's Croft British Superbike meeting.
The 25-year-old from Evesham, who is still recovering from scaphoid surgery, went for a check-up at the Belgian hospital that carried out the operation before driving to the Nurburgring World Superbike round.
"The doctor gave me some injections which hurt but the swelling on my wrist went away inside three days and I've got some more flexibility in it, which can only be good," said Andrews, speaking to bikesportnews.com this afternoon while making a mess of some AC/DC on Guitar Hero.
"I haven't really got a plan for the weekend until I see how fast we are compared to the rest tomorrow. I need to keep Harris behind me, but we've done that for most the season. The only real threat for fourth place now is Brookes because he's fast.
"I'm not worried about Kiyo as he is not in the championship so he can do what he likes. I just need to put on a good show for the team and get back on the box again."
