Croft BSB: Tinmouth will race despite qualifying crash

Spitlath Aprilia's Jenny Tinmouth will take to the British Suoebrike grid at Croft this afternoon, making history in the process, despite a crash in the first qualifying session yesterday.

The Ellesmere Port fast lady had to pick herself and her RSV4 off the floor after five minutes of timed action, kick it straight and put a time in that allows her to be the first ever woman to start a BSB race. Her last lap was her fastest and inside the 107 per cent limit.

“It’s really good to qualify, I’m pleased and relieved and now I just have to keep plugging away at it to get faster. We have a few changes we need to make for warm-up and for the race, at the moment it’s all about trying different things to make us more competitive. I’m just aiming for two good finishes," she said.
