Danny Kent is full of confidence for the Thruxton British Superbike Round this weekend after returning to the podium at Brands Hatch.

The 2025 British Superbike Championship had started in a difficult way for Danny Kent as he featured inside the top five on one occasion across the first four rounds.

However, at Brands Hatch, the 2015 Moto3 World Champion and McAMS Racing Yamaha were back in the top five and back on the podium.

Across the three races in the fifth round of the season, Kent finished fifth in Race One, before finishing third and second in Races Two and Three.

"I’m really happy with how things have been coming together lately," Kent said ahead of the sixth round of the season.

"Brands Hatch was a big step forward for us. We’ve found a good rhythm, and I’m feeling more and more comfortable on the bike.

"Thruxton’s always been a strong circuit for the R1, so we’re coming into the weekend with confidence. The aim is to keep the momentum going, stay consistent, and fight for that top step."

After a competitive weekend, Kent was able to catapult himself up the Championship standings as he moved into fifth place.

Team Owner, Tim Martin, added: "Brands Hatch was a real turning point for us. Danny rode superbly, and we’ve made a breakthrough with the electronics that’s given him the feeling he’s been chasing.

"We’ve also just had a great weekend in Ireland at the Classic Bike Show, where Danny got some valuable laps in and came away with two wins. We’re carrying strong momentum into Thruxton, which has always been a great track for the Yamaha.

"The R1’s record there speaks for itself, and we’re confident we can continue that strong form. The goal is clear: keep pushing, keep progressing, and hopefully get on that top step this weekend."
