The AutoRace Ube Racing squad and Davey Todd finished in sixth place at the 2025 Suzuka 8 Hours.
After making his debut at the Suzuka 8 Hours on the weekend, Davey Todd has hinted at a return to the iconic event in 2026.
The British Superbike rider and three-time Isle of Man TT winner was called up by the AutoRace Ube Racing squad to audition for a spot at the Suzuka 8 Hours.
Todd was put up against Spanish Superbike Championship rider, Ivo Lopez, during a test day last Wednesday at the Suzuka Circuit to see who would ride the #76 BMW.
The 29-year-old was ultimately picked to partner with former World Superbike and MotoGP rider Loris Baz and Naomichi Uramoto.
AutoRace Ube Racing ended up crossing the line in sixth place at the end of the 8-hour race, which the team labelled as 'not entirely satisfying'.
The team said afterwards on social media: "We were aiming for the podium, so this result wasn't entirely satisfying.
"But the team, all staff, and supporters worked hard together in the extremely hot and humid conditions in Suzuka.
"I'd like to thank all three riders for completing the race in such tough conditions. Naomichi Uramoto, Loris Baz, Davey Todd.”
In a brief social media video, Todd hinted at a comeback at the Suzuka 8 Hours in 2026.
"Thank you to Suzuka for such an awesome time. See you next year, definitely," he said.
The team added in a post attached: "With a sudden call-up and just a bit of practice, he faced the scorching heat of the race.
"He gave it his all, and we truly appreciate his efforts. Thank you, Davey!"
