Jon Kirkham rounded out the front row but it wasn’t all smiles for the Samsung Honda team with Michael Laverty crashing at Redgate without setting a laptime, leaving him tenth on the grid.
Westmoreland heads the second row after getting the better of Tommy Bridewell and Michael Rutter in closing moments of the session. Early pace setter Luca Scassa ended up eighth and Patric Muff will start the first of tomorrow’s British Superbike races from ninth.

Buildbase BMW’s Barry Burrell and WFR Honda’s James Westmoreland had a coming together at Goddards leaving the pair in the gravel.
