Rapid Solicitors Kawasaki’s Keith Farmer has been declared unfit to race in the two MCE British Superbike races at Donington Park this afternoon.

The Northern Irishman crashed in Q2 yesterday at Starkeys on his first lap and went to the medical centre. He fell on an old injury and after another assessment this morning it was decided that the rider will take no further part in today’s track activities, even after having a haematoma drained from the bottom of his spine.

Farmer has also been suffering with a viral infection, and on top of that Clougher lad can not lift his leg or sit down. He now wants this year to be over with, so he can start again next season.

“I had a crash going into Starkeys Bridge and I am not feeling great, as my bike fell on my right ass cheek again, and it is the exact same place I hurt myself before,” said Farmer, speaking to bikesportnews.com, from the circuit.

“I had an x-ray and I twisted my pelvis. It is not bad enough to break but I have had a haematoma at the top of my ham-string too. I can’t lift my leg and I can’t sit down. I just want to this year to be over and start afresh next year.

“I have had a viral infection, and all this week my white blood cells are at an all time low, but I am going back on the 16th to get my bloods looked at again. The doctor has still not diagnosed what is wrong with me.

"I am going home next week back to Ireland to see a specialist and hopefully I will know what is wrong with me. I just want to get myself right and my head right and be back."
