Moto Rapido Ducati’s John Hopkins has made it clear what his mission for this year is and that is to win the MCE British Superbike Championship, starting this weekend at Donington Park.

Hopkins has had a good pre-season with fast and consistent laptimes over five days at Cartagena, ending up fourth overall on the unofficial timesheet and he believes the team have put a bike under him that is capable of challenging at the sharp end every weekend.

“My mission this year is go for the championship. That’s what we are here for, we have a competitive bike, I think I have it within myself so we are fighting for the title from round one, “ said Hopkins.

“I am really getting on with the bike this year, testing went really well and it feels so good to be back on the Ducati, I am having so much fun on it, and really enjoying it.”
