Gabriele Giannini will be back with the DAO Racing Honda squad at Cadwell Park as Lee Jackson continues his recovery.
After making his British Superbike debut last time out at Thruxton, Gabriele Giannini will continue with DAO Racing Honda at Cadwell Park.
The Italian rider was drafted into the team to replace the recovering Lee Jackson at Thruxton. However, Jackson is still recovering from the injuries he sustained at Brands Hatch, so he will remain on the sidelines, and Giannini will be back on his Honda CBR1000RR-R.
Giannini said: "I’m really happy to be back with DAO Racing for my second BSB round, this time at Cadwell Park. Thruxton was a tricky weekend, with all the challenges that come from the first time working with a new team, bike, and in a new championship. At the same time, it gave me valuable experience and a solid base to build on.
"I know Cadwell Park is a demanding track, with its unique layout and technical sections, but I see that as another opportunity to progress. I want to thank the team again for trusting me and giving me this chance.
"My goal is to take another step forward, keep learning from every session, and build on the work we started together. I’d also like to take this opportunity to wish Lee a speedy recovery."
On social media, Jackson said: "Gutted to be writing this post to say unfortunately I’ll be missing my Local round at Cadwell Park this weekend.
"Been working hard to get back to a good place, but it still needs a little more time to heal up and gain some strength, so full focus now on Donington.
"Sorry to my team and to all my Personal Sponsors and fans coming to watch at the weekend, I’ll still be trackside so come say Hi and catch me for a photo!"
