Former World Supersport star Graeme Gowland looks set to join Chris Walker on the second Rob Mac Racing Yamaha YZF-R1 in British Superbikes next season.

Gowland switched Supersport teams in the middle of this seaosn but ended the year riding in the Spanish 600 series, where he was reigning champion. Although the Rob Mac deal is still under negotiation, it is belived that Gowland will take some cash to the team, which McElnea needs to run a solid two-man squad.

Gowland is a former motocrosser who only swang a leg over a racebike in 2005 at the Ron Haslam Race School. He won his first meeting at Croft later that year, and came fourth in the Virgin Mobile R6 Cup in 2006.
