Haga 'ready to race' after steep Snetterton learning curve

Swan Yamaha's Noriyuki Haga says he now ready to commence his assault on the 2012 British Superbike Championship after a positive two-day test at Snetterton saw him cut laptimes dramatically as he got used to the Norfolk track.

Although the Samurai of Slide was some two seconds slower than team-mate Tommy Hill, Haga had never seen the track before and the team had to deal with some fuelling issues with the new Motec ECU units - a situation in which they weren't alone.

"This was my first time on track here so to begin with I spent some sessions learning the circuit as this will be important for later in the season. My target was to learn the track and I am feeling very positive. We have tried some changes with the setting and what we can learn before Brands Hatch. Already now I feel I know the track and we have made a big improvement from Spain; I have good feeling on the Swan Yamaha and I am ready to race. I have just been making changes with the suspension and engine braking but I am happy," said Haga.
