Former World Supersport front-runner Robbin Harms will return to the MCE British Superbike Championship this weekend after signing with the Motodex team.
Harms rode in the series for a majority of 2012 and also competed last year with the Doodson team until a big crash at Snetterton put paid to his season. Motodex will contest both Silverstone and Brands before entering into the series full time in 2015.
“I’m really happy to have been given this opportunity to return to the British Superbike Championship, and I am excited about returning. It’s a championship which I have always followed and loved, and to be given the opportunity to return is fantastic,” said the Dane.
“We know it won’t be easy. We have a lot to learn in a short time this weekend, but I like Silverstone and I am confident I can do a solid job for the MotoDex Performance First team. There will be a lot to learn and with just two rounds left it doesn’t give us a lot of time, but we can hopefully make a bit of an impression by taking some decent results.
“I am looking forward to returning to the championship. My impressions of the team have been great so far, and everyone knows how much I have enjoyed my time in BSB before so it’s the perfect way to end the season. I would like to thank Tony and the team for giving me this opportunity.”
