Karl Harris will join the SMT Honda squad for the rest of the 2009 British Superbike season after the squad received a much-needed cash boost with the addition of sorrymate.com as sponsor.
Harris' return to the Rob Mac fold didn't go according to plan at Croft but the team's Fireblades are more like the Sheffield rider is used to as he didn't get much time to acclimatise to the long-bang Yamaha.
"It all came together very soon after Croft to be honest. I didn't have much time to gel with the Yamaha and it's a strange bike to ride," said Harris, speaking to bikesportnews.com from his mountain bike, somewhere up the side of a hill.
"Hopefully, as the bike isn't too different from the Hydrex ones, I should be able to get out there and get to the front. I am really looking forward to the next two rounds. SMT is a really relaxed team and very professional, so it should be good."
