Former British 125GP front runner Tim Hastings will replace the departed Ed Rendell at MWR Kawasaki for the final Metzeler National Superstock 600 rounds while the team will also field Matt Hoyle in British Supersport in partnership with Gearlink.
The team, which split with Rendell after the Donington Park BSB round, hasn't raced in Supersport before but Hoyle, who was 2009 125GP Champion, rode with Gearlink Kawasaki in 2010.
I am delighted to have Tim on board with us in the stock class as are all the team. Tim has been working closely with Gearlink Kawasaki over the past couple of seasons and it made perfect sense to slot him into our line up," said MWR team boss Mark Webster.
"Tim puts 100% into his racing and I am sure we can push him on with a team environment round him for a really strong finish to the campaign. Also to move up a level to the highly competitive Supersport class with Matt Hoyle is a challenge for the team, but the collaboration with Gearlink Kawasaki and the added factor in that Matt has had success on this bike before makes for an exciting end to the season for us.
"I would like to thank Michael de Bidaph for the opportunity to put out this bike and for the unbelievable support that the team and myself has received from Gearlink in what has been a very difficult few weeks."
