HILL: I AM NOW HUNGRIER THAN EVER FOR WINS

Despite being without a ride for the foreseeable future after the news Sylvain Guintoli will return to the Worx Suzuki British Superbike team at Cadwell Park, Tommy Hill has said he plans to keep getting back up and pushing for a seat with a competitive team.

The youngster, who stood in for the injured for Frenchman at Mallory Park and Brands Hatch, reckons that having had a taste of being back at the sharp end in British Superbikes, he is now hungrier than ever.

“I completely understand the decision, as Sylvain has a contract with the team, and is the team's original rider. I honestly believed I would of had two more rounds on the bike, but I understand that Sylvain has been working hard, and doing everything he can to get himself back riding, just as I did last year, as the last thing you want is another rider riding your bike,” said Hill.

“I got a call from Jack (Valentine) explaining that Sylvain will be riding next weekend, and that his leg feels ok and that’s when the news hit home. I couldn’t believe it, no ride, what shall I do now? As I have now had a taste of being back in the British Superbikes, this situation has made me even more hungry to get back and fight for podium finishes.

"But as I said a few months ago, I really can't jump into any team at this point in my career, and just hope that another opportunity like the Suzuki ride comes around the corner very soon.

"A a big thank you must go to all of my sponsors, and supporters - times like these are nothing but a nightmare. But these things are sent to test us and knock us down, but I will keep getting up and keep pushing forward.”
