Hillier to replace Mainwaring for Brands BSB

Quattro Kawasaki’s TT winner James Hillier will make a return to short circuits at the Brands Hatch MCE British Superbike opener when he replaces the crocked Howie Mainwaring.

The Kent-based rider is today undergoing an operation to pin the shoulder he badly dislocated in a testing crash at Snetterton on Tuesday, which means he will not be able to ride next weekend, and the Oulton Park round is also in doubt.

“Whilst it’s a great opportunity for me to ride it’s a shame it’s under the circumstances of Howie being injured, I will certainly be doing my best to try to pick up a few points and am excited at being back at the BSB opener,” said Hillier.
