The new Superbike Advocates Racing Team Principal discussed his new role on the British Superbike grid at Oulton Park.
Carl Fogarty was on the grid as a fan ahead of the second British Superbike race of the opening weekend, but in 2026, he will return as a Team Principal.
It has already been announced that the four-time World Superbike Champion will be the Team Principal for the new Superbike Advocates Racing team in the British Superbike Championship next season.
'Foggy' believes that the deal he has struck with Superbike Advocates Racing is 'the right deal and the right package' for him to get back into a racing paddock.
"I have always been a big fan and a big follower of British Superbikes," Fogarty told TNT Sports on the grid ahead of Race Two.
"When I have been asked in the past if I would get involved again or run a team, I have said, 'I would but the package and the deal would have to be right, and it would have to be in Britain because I want to be in my own bed on a Sunday night'.
"The right deal and the right package has come, so I will be the figurehead and the Principal of the team. I am working really hard in the background now to get everything done, and I am speaking to Ducati, and sponsors and stuff to get the whole thing moving."
As it stands, there is no further information regarding the Superbike Advocates Racing rider lineup for 2026. But it has been confirmed that the team will run Ducati machinery in their debut season in the British Superbike Championship.
