Tommy Bridewell and Honda Racing UK are back at the sharp end at Thruxton, as they ended Friday in third place.
On the opening day of the sixth round of the British Superbike Championship, Tommy Bridewell made his way into the top three.
The Honda Racing UK rider ended Free Practice Two in third place and was the top Honda rider at the end of Day One.
Bridewell and Honda Racing UK have had some troubles throughout the 2025 season, but after returning to the sharp end at his home circuit, he stated that his smile is back on his face.
"It's weird, I probably have a bit more of a smile back on my face," Bridewell said after Free Practice Two on Friday.
"I feel like I have my old bike back, to be honest. I was adamant coming into this weekend that I wanted the setup that I had last year.
"To then work from it, I'm not saying it is exactly the same; there are some differences. I just feel comfortable on the bike.
"This year has been tough, where we tried to move my body a lot further back, now I am further over the front of the bike, and I just feel good on it.
"I know I have a bit in hand, I am happy enough with the lap time. Our race pace on the harder rear tyre is quite strong, actually.
"Good job all around, well done to Honda for their efforts, now we need to continue working, because we are not fools, we know the Yamahas are super strong here."
