Bradley Ray secured the first pole position of the 2025 British Superbike Championship at Oulton Park.

The opening race of the 2025 British Superbike Championship will see the 2022 Champion, Bradley Ray, start from pole position.

After two years in World Superbikes, Ray is back in Britain with Raceways Yamaha on an R1 and broke his own lap record at Oulton Park on his way to his first pole position of the season.

"It is good to be back, I am happy to be back," Ray told TNT Sports after Qualifying.

"A lot has gone on over the last few weeks, and I was unsure if I would be on the grid. Everything has come together, and it is nice to get this pole position for Steve [Rodgers] and all of Raceways.

"That lap was just a big commitment. I knew I could do it as I did a 1:32.9 in testing, and I had a little bit more in the tank.

"I just had to put everything together for that lap, massive shoutout to the team they have done a fantastic job."

During his time in the World Superbike paddock, Ray did not qualify towards the front of the season very regularly. So, when he was asked about his plan for Race One at Oulton Park, he explained that he does not have a plan.

"I don't know I have not been in this situation for a couple of years," Ray joked when he was asked about his race plan.

"We will have to see, I have a great race pace, and I know what pace I can set to keep the tyre life pretty good. You can never make a plan for the race, get a good start and see how it plays out.

"But I am looking forward to it."

Ray will be joined on the front row by the reigning British Superbike Champion, Kyle Ryde, and the 2018 British Superbike Champion, Leon Haslam.
