The reigning British Superbike Champion, Kyle Ryde, walked away from Cadwell Park in the lead of the British Superbike Championship.
Kyle Ryde arrived at Cadwell Park with the possibility of taking control of the British Superbike Championship standings. However, after Bradley Ray claimed victory in Race One on Sunday, it looked like Ryde's chances would be slim.
But come Monday, Races Two and Three went the way of the Nitrous Competitions Racing rider as he finished second in Race Two and won the final race of the weekend.
While the reigning British Superbike Champion was standing on the rostrum, Ray crashed out of Race Two and went on to finish 12th in Race Three.
The contrast in their results led to the 2024 British Superbike Champion, Kyle Ryde, gaining control of the Championship standings for the first time in the 2025 season.
"It has been a great weekend, long, quite sweaty, difficult on the body," Ryde said after winning Race Three at Cadwell Park.
"That last race was very tough, but it was great to have a good bike under my belt for 18 laps. I had great speed, didn't really have any moments, I even had enough to have a dig with four or five laps to go, and I pulled a bit of a gap out.
"It was a perfect race, really. The last two laps were very difficult. I tried to slow it down, but then I ended up nearly crashing about three times. It was difficult, but I am just glad to get it done. We put in a lot of hard work all weekend.
"I thought we could have won maybe two races this weekend, but it was nice to get one, and the last one as well. To get King of the Mountain again, like last year, I used to hate this track, and now I love it."
