British Superbike star Karl Harris has confirmed his plans to race at next year's Isle of Man TT Festival and said he will learn the tricky 37.73-mile Mountain Course seven miles at a time.
The Yorkshireman, who also said he was in talks with two or three top BSB teams for 2010, feels the time is right to take part at the TT as it is something he has always wanted to do.
"I'm not going over there with any illusions. I know it's going to be very fast and very heard to learn, and people don't just go over there and start winning," said Harris, speaking to bikepsortnews.com this morning.
"I am going to learn the circuit in seven-mile chunks with the help of Richard Quayle and John Barton. I've also got as many DVDs as I can find, and some video games to help as well. The TT is something I have always wanted to do."
