Kyle Ryde has his sights set on maintaining his lead in the British Superbike Championship as the series returns to Oulton Park.
This weekend is the penultimate round of the 2025 British Superbike Championship, and Kyle Ryde leads the standings as the paddock returns to Oulton Park.
The reigning British Superbike Champion is determined to maintain his Championship lead over the 2022 British Superbike Champion, Bradley Ray.
Earlier in the season, Ray was successful at Oulton Park as he claimed a race win and a third place across the two races in the season opener. However, Ryde only managed a fifth and fourth-place finish for the Nitrous Competitions Racing squad.
With a 31-point lead over Ray and 180 points still up for grabs, Ryde knows that a strong weekend at Oulton Park is crucial if he wants to retain his British Superbike crown.
"I am looking forward to going back to Oulton Park. Last time I was there, I didn’t have a bad weekend but I wouldn’t say it was my best," Ryde said.
"Obviously, it was the first round, so I was just trying to get things started and put some points on the board.
"I’m going to have to pull my finger out as it’s a good track for Brad, he did have the lap record in both qualifying and the race before Leon nicked it, but I’m looking forward to going back and getting stuck in.
"I’ve been riding really well at the minute in the wet or dry, so hopefully we can leave Oulton Park with a points’ gap going into Brands Hatch."
