Knockhill BSB: Additional testing crucial for Waters

Milwaukee Yamaha’s Josh Waters hopes to get some much needed additional testing under his belt before the fifth MCE British Superbike round at Snetterton, after a disappointing weekend for the Aussie debutant at Knockhill.

Waters had any aspirations of making steps forward shattered in both races, finishing nineteenth in the first race before retiring in race two, and failed to gain any points over the weekend. Waters found himself in the pits in both races as he encountered issues with his bike, but he was able to venture back out on track in the opening race, but was not so lucky in race two.

The rider certainly found the weekend difficult and was hoping to turn things around for his team, but it did not work out that way in Scotland today.

“It really has been a tough weekend for me and although we have worked through some changes to try and help it just hasn’t come together. I obviously feel disappointed for the Milwaukee Yamaha team because we were hoping that this weekend we could turn things around to give us a bit of a boost,” said Waters.

“Hopefully we can test before Snetterton again as we want to be moving up the order as it is so important now to be scoring good points to try and make the Showdown.”
