Knockhill BSB: Brookes 'no trouble adapting back to short circuits'

Tyco Suzuki's Josh Brookes thinks he won't have any trouble adapting back to short circuit racing at this weekend's Knockhill British Superbike round after his record-breaking performance at the Isle of Man TT.

The Bringelly man raised eyebrows on the island when he obliterated Steve Plater's newcomer record with a lap of 127.736mph on his way to tenth in the Superbike race - his first ever on Mona's Isle.

"It might take me a couple of laps to get my eye back in but I should have no trouble adapting back to short circuits. After all, that's what I have been doing for the past ten years. I think getting acclimatised to the speed the other way round was the big thing," said Brookes, speaking to bikesportnews.com this lunchtime.
