KNOCKHILL BSB: CAMIER HEADS FINAL FREE PRACTICE

Airwaves Yamaha's Leon Camier was the quickest rider in this morning's final British Superbike free practice session at Knockhill after it was red-flagged twice.

HM Plant Honda's Josh Brookes crashed early on at Seat (formerly Duffus Dip) but walked away and then John Laverty's Buildbase Kawasaki blew up at the same place. Brookes' team now have a big job ahead of them as he only has one bike which is pretty much destroyed, so it will have to be totally rebuilt before this afternoon's qualifying session.

The top 21 riders are covered by just over a second, making it one of the closest practice session in British Superbike history. The top 10 are covered by three tenths of a second and James Ellison, who is 12th fastest, is only 0.364s slower than Camier.

Hydrex Honda's Karl Harris has got used to the change in suspension units and was only two one-hundredths of a second shy of Camier on a 49.295s lap while team-mate Stuart Easton was a further four one-hundredths in arrears. MSS Colchester Kawasaki's Simon Andrews rounds out a theoretical front row but has been called to race control for an as-yet-unknown reason.
